Question 1

What does custom hospitality lighting typically include?

Accepted Answer

Custom hospitality lighting usually covers finish changes, size adjustments, shade modifications, material substitutions, hardware variations and electrical configuration. Most of these adjustments carry little or no cost premium when they are raised early in the specification stage.

Question 2

Are you a hospitality lighting manufacturer or a reseller?

Accepted Answer

Mario Contract Lighting is a manufacturer. We operate domestic production in Roanoke, Virginia and work with long-term overseas manufacturing partners. Every fixture is engineered to contract-grade requirements rather than pulled from a consumer catalog.

Question 3

Do you manufacture lighting in the United States?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our 100,000-square-foot facility in Roanoke, Virginia handles metal fabrication, finishing, shade production, wiring and assembly. Domestic manufacturing is selected strategically based on materials, lead time and budget targets.

Question 4

How are lead times determined for custom lighting projects?

Accepted Answer

Lead times depend on product type, degree of customization, production location and current factory capacity. Domestic production generally supports shorter, more predictable schedules, while imported production requires a longer planning window. Final lead times are confirmed in writing before production.

Question 5

Do you support low minimum order quantities?

Accepted Answer

Minimum order quantities vary by product type, material and production method — often from a single ceiling fixture up to 25 pieces for illuminated signage. Domestic manufacturing typically offers more flexibility than imported production.

Question 6

Can you match finishes, materials or brand standards?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Finishes, metals, wood tones, acrylics and shade fabrics can be developed to align with brand standards or a designer's intent. Matching is validated against material availability, durability and production feasibility so results stay consistent across rooms and properties.

Question 7

What types of hospitality projects do you support?

Accepted Answer

Guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, restaurants, ballrooms, meeting spaces, senior living and multifamily. Project types include single-property renovations, new construction and multi-location brand programs.

Question 8

Do you work directly with designers and purchasing agents?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We collaborate daily with designers, architects, purchasing agents, contractors and project managers — supporting specification development, customization review, submittal packages and communication through installation.
